Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog!
As Andy has already introduced us as a team, I'll get right down to it and introduce myself;
My name is Dan, a Freelance Illustrator and Character Artist who dabbles in various areas of art and design, from Logo Design to Album Cover artwork I like to spread my skills across numerous media. I work in any media and even though I have developed skills in using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, 3DS Max and Game Engines, there's nothing I like more than to get out the paints or inks and attack the page in front of me (in a strictly creative way of course).
Though I have always been interested in art, It wasn't until I played the Final Fantasy Series of video games that I took an interest in looking at working in game development... Once I met Andy it wasn't long before I was drawing out his game concepts and bringing his ideas to life. Games such as Chrono Trigger, Okami, Final Fantasy 9 and Ni No Kuni have cemented my love for the art of game design over the years, whereas artists such as as Yoshitaka Amano are responsible for inspiring me to keep pushing my boundaries as an independent artist.
Though largely concentrating my higher education in Graphic Design and Digital Media, my final years in University were spent studying Game Art where my main focus became becoming an Illustrator and Character artist. Upon leaving University I reached out to various independent musicians, and soon after working with Nerdcore Rap artist Random a.k.a Mega Ran found myself establishing myself among other like-minded people within the community, creating work for Mister Wilson, Alpha Riff, SkyBlew, Tina Estes, Mr. Miranda, Doug Funnie, DDSluggers, Red Label Productions and numerous others. This is also the time when I worked alongside Andy to create our first game together, for the Handy Chaps Project, in which I created all the in-game artwork and graphics.
Be sure to keep your eyes out, as we will be posting more updates on our various collaborations and projects on here in the near future!
~Dan
